My Friends Kick Ass

So I finally have some time, and just wanted to say it was awesome to see all of you!! Florida was a blast and TN was a big blur blast!! I needed to see people. I saw them. It was awesome. I must admit I was not sure how the situation would be, and even though I had a lot of really great friends, chatting and email can seem real cold sometimes. It was great to hug, see, hang out with, just go to jack in the Box and stuff with people. I was also able to see Haven and Daniel while I was in Tennessee, which were two of the many many many people I wanted to see while I was there, and those two meetings also went awesomely (is that even a word? oh well...) and helped my psychologic state out much. I felt so welcome and there were many instances when I forgot I had ever left, and if time had been stopped and you asked me where I lived, I would have said that I lived at 801 Naylor Drive, Apt D40, which is the last place I lived in Murfreesboro. After that it was all Antioch and Nashville... I must say I love all of you very very much, and you all know you are very welcome to come to Cataluña and stay as long as you want.

A sincere thankyou to everybody!!! For what you ask? for being who you are and accepting me for who I am. Oh, and what the fuck is up with the word "tool" anyway?. One thing I realized by going back home to TN was that no matter how long I am gone or what happens in the world, there will always be people in TN I will be able to count on and who can count on me for anything they ever need.

FEEL THE PAIN!!!

So there was a huge storm here last night. The chairs on the balcony were blown over and there have been several lakes on the beach all day. In my ideal world the water is NEXT to the beach, not ON it. Wonder who I can email and bitch about that...
Today has been another real productive day as far as work goes. WAHOOOOOOOOOO!!
The friend that was coming called and said the plane was cancelled due to bad weather, which allowed me to finish my productive work day, and she'll be arriving tomorrow morning, which fits a lot better into my schedule. I'll go pick her up at the airport, but nobody tell the doctor I left home on my bad ankle ok?
So I was sorting through the fotos from Daytona to store them away and came accross the videos I had taken with the camera. There were three... One of Sean that he'd probably... Well, I don't even want to imagine what he'd do to me so I won't put that one up. The second one is like 5 seconds and has me at a really unfavorable angle doing a really retarded pose and move. you know? discarded. The third is... well... Gross and boring, but I'll post it anyway. I beleive the date on it would be 20/07/2002, or 07/20/2002 for dyslexics and Americans.

childhood therapy

I was just showing a friend my yearbook from my last year in high school. Looking through it she asked me why I was considered the class clown so we got into the subject of me not really liking anybody in the class. She asked a question and I answered: "I guess I laughed at it all the time cause If I hadn't I wouldn't have been able to handle reality"

injured & on-line

It's amazing how productive I am when I can't leave the apartment due to injuries. This week's timesheet is gonna be packed :D. I needed a break (get it? break? :p ) so I messed with the webcam a bit... I apparently won it at a raffle my ADSL provider had back in January or so, but haven't given it much use since then. I say "apparently" cause I had to call the spanish post system, get their address, and compare it with the one on my ADSL bill. You figure if a company gives you something, they want you to know who they are... Right? chances are I'll turn it off past 16:00 CST, mainly cause you can't see jack. If you feel like waking up at 7:00 CST, it'll probably be on by then :)

Only one more week with the ankle bandage!! Man I can't wait to go jump in the ocean. ARGH!!

Bulls & FTP site

I took Thursday and Friday off work last week and went down to see ma and grandma down in their home town, about 150 km south of here... A friend of mine came up Wednesday, we went to dinner, and he went to bed while I packed and did some computer stuff... When I leave for some time he stays here taking care of the kitties and getting some use of the pool and whatever. Anyway, after dinner on Wednesday, I started thinking that since Thurs and Fri were huge holidays here, that my planned leaving time of 9 - 10 am on Thursday was going to result in me stuck in a bunch of traffic in the hot Spanish sun with no A/C (duhhh, bike). Make a long story short, I ended up waking him up, letting him now I was leaving then, and heading out of here 2:30 am. I got there at 3:30 and cruised around the deserted city until I found a cheap hotel with a garage. OK, so this place was like 10 square yards, if that, but had a TV, AC, comfortable bed, a small bathrrom with shower off to the side and everything. and EVERYTHING worked. Even the bedside table drawer was smooth. Optimized to the max. Anyway, I was ammused...
At 10:30 the hotel brekfast ended, so I woke up at 10:00, went downstairs, had breakfast, and went back to bed, waking up at 11:30. I showered and went to the meeting point where I had arranged to meet Laura to go to granny's birthday lunch with us. This is the first girl I remember in my life on this planet, as we used to "play" together when I was very young, we were around 1 or whatever... I put play in quotes because it consisted of me taking all her toys away and not paying any attention to them until she wanted them, and then grabbing them and playing with them. I was able to track her down through her grandmother, who gave me her mother's phone number, who gave me her email address.
It was great to see her, as we hadn't seen eachother for many many years. We hit it right off and right away started to crack mean jokes at eachother, mentioning that "la confianza da asco", which kinda means (Place translation here :) ). So lunch with granny went well, as a cousin of mine also came down for the event, so it was the 5 of us, and we had a blast with the paella, the wine & the cake at the end. Saturday was rather different, as it was the "Festa Major" here (festivities), which involves, among other things, letting a bull "loose" in the streets and a huge crowd running behind and in front of it, wherever the bul choses to go... again, loose is in quotes cause they have a rope around his horns that is attached to a straight rope that is held on either side by people, and is used in case it gets too close to he people on the other side. It was a blast, people where shouting the whole time, throwing water from the balconies, and many bars had free drinks in front of their bar in a huuuge tub with plastic cups next to it. The color of the drinks was brown in some places and green in others... At first I was sketchy, but since nobody died after the first stop with free drinks, I drank some at the second one. It was sweet and had alcohol, so I had a few more. When that ended I went back home, packed, visited a few relatives, and headed back to Barcelona, arriving there a little after 1:00 am. SUnday was spent lousing around with Victor doing nothing :)
PS. I got an FTP site up and running. If you want an account email me at amauri_bcn@hotmail.com.

WAHOOOOOOOOO

At the age of 24 (almost 25) I have discovered the marvel of drunk-night-ocean skinny dipping, and I must say, the hang over is more than worth it.

That was me?

So I came accross my first webpage, that was custom made before college by Intercom, the ISP that I used back then. Their main server is no longer up, but some of the user pages still exist...
