| Long time no post OK, so a few minutes ago I was nice a snug in bed, and then.. BAM, I remembered... I promised Ed I'd post an update today... OK, so I'm awake, typing, and... nothing to say. Could this be true? hell no :) So what have I learned lately... I've learned a crap load of ActionScript, php, and JavaScript, and am loving it :). I posted a resume online, and will see what kind of replies I get on the job applications I submitted... http://www.alandicks.com/resume.php. Anybody need a trilingual programmar? Sorry, can't cook. and no, I'm not going to be your bitch :) Talking of cooking, having a roommate that can cook, rules! Before he got here, I had resorted back to stuff like "esparagus and cheese" so I could continue coding. As of right now, we've split up the house chores... I go buy bread and take out the trash and recyclables every morning, he cooks and cleans dishes, and on Sundays I clean my room, the balcony, the hall & the bathroom, and he cleanes his room, the kitchen & the livingroom. The cool part is that if either of us doesn't do their chores a certain day, they owe the other person a Euro. What? a Euro? they actually exist? yes :) Wanna know exactly how much it's worth in US Dollars? www.xe.net/ucc baby :) Anyway, my bikes up for sale, in a feeble attempt to grasp up some cash to, like, buy food, and stuff. You know you want it :) amauri.eresmas.net/love/her.html Other updates, hmmmmmm. Oh yeah, I passed the boat exam late december, and now have completed all 5 parts of the boat exam. All I have to do now is go on a couple boat trips with the school to log 20 or 30 hours, and I get a certification, WAHOOOOOOOOO. downside? expensive! And guess whose poor? :) Apart from all that, I've really been losing myself lately. I've arranged to meet some friends this week, and will see my dad next week. Seeing friends and family good :) And for those of you who know what the hell this is about, you might find it amusing that Marci is coming over to lunch in a few weekends :) I think I'll finish up saying that I'll make a bigger effort to post periodically now, and that I love all of you :) ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz Link of the day |
| Confronting a dark past For a few weeks now I've been planning on attending a dinner on Saturday, March 1st, at the school I went to in Barcelona for 7 years. I just called the person in charge to confirm time, cost, etc, and found out other people from my class will be there... *gulp*... I told her I'd call her tomorrow to confirm if I was going or not, but she really wanted me to go, and accepted to me just walking off in the middle if I felt uncomfortable. I also learned it was a lunch (and not a dinner, as I had thought), so I had to call off a lunch I had planned with Marci for the same day. Those of you who have known me for over 5 years will associate that name with many sleepless nights of me playing Warcraft II, having to stop when the 8:00 am CS 101 lab started. I also learned that I JUST missed a girl I went to school with from Panama named Carolina. Apparently she just left this morning. I wish I'd had a chance to see her :-/ uhhhhhhhhh, that's pretty much it for now. Oh, yeah: Link of the day (cute) |
